César Lüttger, born Amsterdam 1991, studied Classical Composition at the Conservatory of Amsterdam with teachers Willem Jeths and Richard Ayres. After graduating he continued with his Master study Composing For Film with teacher Jurre Haanstra at the same Conservatory and graduated in 2018.
Compositions vary from pieces for solo instruments to symphony orchestra and have been performed, amongst other places, at the Muziekgebouw aan ’t IJ, TivoliVredenburg,
the Orgelpark as well as outside of the Netherlands.
During the summer of 2023 César signed to the Aragosta Piano label where he releases peaceful
felt piano music under his alias Nicolas Lüttger. With placements in big Spotify playlists,
a continually increasing number of streams and a far bigger reach to new audiences worldwide,
this new development is very promising.
César also accompanies as a pianist improvised musical shows for Easylaughs and other improv groups in The Netherlands which has made him a versatile pianist in many different styles.
Despite his love for the piano and the majority of his work being written for the instrument,
César is also passionate about writing for the symphony orchestra. It is his intention to keep writing new compositions for the piano as well as offer the world new repertoire for the symphony orchestra.
